We have openings for musicians who wish to play fife, snare drum or bugle and are able to read music or willing to learn. Adults of all ages and youth who are at least 12 years of age may join the corps.
You dont need any previous military or historical interpretation experience and beginner level musicians are welcome.
Dressed in the uniform of the 100th Regiment of Foot and portraying a military musician playing either a drum, fife, or bugle, members of the regiment’s Corps of Drums have the unique opportunity to perform military drills and music for visitors from all over the world right in the heart of the nation’s capital.
The corps provides a uniform and required equipment free of charge to youth members which must be returned upon leaving the corps.
The regiment is active from February to November. Rehersals are held once a week on either Wednesday night or Saturday afternoon with summer activities normally held on Saturdays.
A $40.00 registration fee that covers insurance and other costs is due upon acceptance.
