The 100th Regiment is looking to fill openings in our infantry company and seeking talented individuals who have an interest in history, drama, and public speaking.


To interpret the role of an early 19th-century British soldier; executing military drills and manoeuvres; providing lectures to visitors; participating in historical dramatizations and parades in a period uniform; and conducting research of historical documents relating to the regiment.

Military Interpreter (Private Soldier) Requirements

At least 15 years of age; physical ability to perform 19th century British army foot and arms drill and to meet other essential physical demands; ability to learn historical information within limited timeframe and interpret it to the public; ability to portray an historical character and perform the role in public.

Desirable Qualifications (considered assets)

Experience working in a team environment; experience in dealing with the public, customer service, guided tours, heritage interpretation or group animation; experience as a Sea, Army, or Air Cadet.
